Domaine de Chevalier, Pessac-Léognan

The Domaine de Chevalier of Olivier Bernard in Pessac-Léognan produces great and very long-lived white and red wines, which are among the best of their kind. The white (5.8 ha) is made of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Semillon and is famous for its crystal-clear precision and an enormous ageing potential . As a rule, the white wines of the Domaine de Chevalier even require much longer than the reds to reach their peak. The red Chevalier (36.75 ha) has become a real benchmark in the Graves area since a small phase of weakness in the mid-1990s, today the wines are juicy and at the same time classy and full of finesse. The well-known Oenologist Stephane Derenoncourt has been a successful consultant for some time.
