Château Minvielle has been owned by the Gadras family for over 200 years. The estate is south of Saint-Emilion. It is actually in the Entre-deux-Mers area, but this designation only applies to white wines, which is why the Bordeaux AOC designation of origin is used for the delicious red Minvielle. The vineyards are planted with the red varieties with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, which are on calcareous clay soil.
The environmentally friendly cultivation of the Vignobles Gadras has a long tradition, today it is certified organic by AB Agriculture Biologique and ECOCERT.
The 2019 Château Minvielle Merlot has a wonderfully juicy taste. The fullness and smoothness of this red Bordeaux is remarkable. It has ripe dark berry aromas and plum on the nose. This excellent quality was awarded a gold medal at the Challenge Millésime Bio 2020. In addition, it regularly has good ratings in the French wine guide Guide Hachette. A tasty and charming wine at a very fair rate.
