The Caractere from Château de la Grave consists of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, grown in Bourg, on the right bank of the Gironde, opposite Margaux. This is undoubtedly one of the best wines of the so-called Bordeaux Côtes, the 2012er was celebrated with the award "Coup de Coeur" in the guide Hachette. Stylistically, the wine reminds of a Saint-Emilion, the high proportion Merlot makes in round and supple, the noble wood note gives it the distinctive Bordeaux character, "Caractere". A great Bordeaux for under 10 euros. Try!
