Alsace is remembered by most wine lovers as a white wine region. There are legitimate reasons for this, but at least almost 10% are planted with red vines, strictly speaking, practically only Pinot Noir (Pinot Noir). Rosé wines are traditionally also made from this, but more and more serious red wines are produced in Alsace, which are still a little under the radar for many wine fans.
Try the wonderfully juicy Pinot Noir from Julien Schaal, an expert in his field.
