The Saint-Emilion winery Château Rozier is owned by the Saby family, who own nine châteaux on the east side of the Gironde, also known as the Rive Droite (Right Bank). . The name Rozier comes from an abbot who wrote textbooks on viticulture.

28 hectares of vines are in yield, 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The very good vintage 2020, the third in a row, is characterized by a particularly juicy taste with lots of extract and length . However, the wines never appear broad.

The Chateau Rozier 2020 shows a bouquet dominated by Merlot, reminiscent of ripe dark berries with a noble barrique note. The fullness and first-class tannins are impressive on the palate. Despite its youth, this Saint-Emilion is incredibly charming and there is nothing wrong with enjoying it now, even if it still has 15 years ahead of it. Incidentally, the 2020 vintage consists of 71% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, which were aged in barriques with a new oak share of 30%. 2016Slider
