The wine-growing region of Trentino is considered one of the oldest in Italy. It connects south to South Tyrol / Alto Adige, on the edge of the Dolomites. Mediterranean climate and the coolness of the mountain landscape create ideal conditions for viticulture, the grapes ripen long and evenly here and are rarely exposed to high heat, which promotes the formation of cool aromas and fresh tannins. Among the white wine grapes, which account for only 25% of the area, Chardonnay, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Grigio and Pinot Blanc play the most important role, the native Nosiola plays only a minor role. The wines of Trentino are very popular by wine connoisseurs because of their finesse.
