The wine-growing region of Marche (Italian Marche) borders on the south to the Emilia Romagna, east to Tuscany and Umbria and north to Puglia. The capital of the region is Ancona. There are 15 DOC and five DOCG zones. The most famous white wine in the area is certainly the Verdicchio the Castelli di Jesi, made from 100% from Verdicchio grapes and the best qualities can be stored in bottle for a few years.

Since the wines of the brands outside the region are rather unknown, you will find excellent wines at very fair prices here.
