France is an incredibly diverse wine country. From the "Cool Climate" cultivation areas in the north to the Mediterranean south, there is a bandwidth that leaves nothing to be desired.

There are also stylistic models for winegrowers all over the world, such as white Burgundy (including Chablis) or the cool Sauvignon wines of the Loire, such as Sancerre or Pouilly-Fumé< /strong>. The white Graves, matured in barriques, can also be considered a style icon that has created a desirable taste profile for wineries all over the world.

Regional vinification styles also ensure diversity, just think of the oxidative style of Jura wines or the Vin doux Naturel of the south.

It is all based on a long tradition and selecting the right grape variety clones for the appropriate climate and soil. Here, more emphasis was usually placed on the quality than on the high yield. That's why today, all over the world, French grape varieties are leading and still spreading.
