Der Name des Evocelles Weinberg stammt vom altfranzösischen Wort "Vaucelle", das ein kleines Tal bezeichnet. Sie liegt sehr hoch, ganz im Norden von Gevrey-Chambertin, ein betont kühles Terroir also. Die Ausrichtung ist ideal nach Osten. Diese Voraussetzungen passen ideal zu einem warmen Jahrgang wie 2018, dessen charmante Fruchtfülle von der Struktur und Spannung der kühlen Lage ergänzt wird.
Von der Zeitschrift Decanter wird der 2018 Evocelles von Parcellaires de Saulx mit 91/100 Punkten bewertet. Zitat: "Surprisingly pale in colour, and showing some early evolution. soft and rounded on the palate with red currant and raspberry fruit character. Lots of spice and acidity on the palate—acidity a little too evident at the moment. Maybe the wine needs a bit more time to settle after bottling. Has a chemical character on both nose and palate - a touch of tar and menthol. Typical Gevrey tannic structure - quite firm and coarse."
