The traditional wine negociant Chanson Père & Fils , established in 1750, has made a tremendous leap in quality, mainly due to Jean Pierre Confuron, who has been responsible for the wines since 2011 and was awarded by the "La Revue du Vin France" in 2014 as winemaker of the year . Chanson's range is vast, with wines from 108 AOPs being marketed. 25% of the production or 45 hectares of vines are own property, these wines are labeled "Domaine Chanson". The wines from purchased grapes are marketed as Chanson Père & Fils.
Most of the own vineyards are located near the town of Beaune, including 4.5 hectares of the famous "Clos des Mouches" and the "Clos de Fèves" which is an exclusive posession of Chanson. Pernand-Vergelesses, red and white, are a special tip, but already the basic wines of Chanson have style and elegance.
