The 1er Cru vineyard Clos des Marconnets is located in the north of Beaune. The Pinot Noir vines for the Marconnets by Domaine Chanson were planted in 1978, 1983 and 1988 and are located in the middle part of the hill with good drainage.
In 2017, a beautifully balanced red Burgundy with a garnet red color was created here. The scent shows intense aromas of blackcurrant and blackberry, plus a subtle floral touch that makes the wine very graceful. The palate is dense and complex, the fine tannins are balanced by the extract, the finale is long and spicy. Wine critic JANCIS ROBINSON awards 16/20, a very good rating for this well-known, strictly judging lady.
