Beauregard is one of the best 1er Cru locations in the municipality of Santenay, located at the southern tip of the Côte d'Or. Chanson Pere et Fils owns 3 hectares of vineyards here, the Pinot Noirs are here on gravelly loam and limestone soil. This location results in wines that convince with their balance, they are also elegant and can be drunk relatively early because the tannins are charming.

The 2017 Burgundy vintage is considered fine and classically structured. The Santenay Beauregard 2017 by Chanson has ripe tannins, the body is medium-bodied and well balanced, the wine has good extract and a long finish. He is now in his best drinking phase and will remain so until at least 2030. This wine was rated 16.5/20 by the strictly judging Jancis Robinson.

Serve this delicious Burgundy best with game dishes, soft cheese, chicken/cockerel with red wine sauce, the Burgundian Coq au vin.
