The 1er Cru vineyard Clos des Marconnets is located in the north of Beaune. The Pinot Noir vines for the Marconnets by Domaine Chanson were planted in 1979, 1983 and 1988 and are located in the middle part of the hill with good drainage.
2020 is an outstanding vintage, that combines freshness, precision and body. The Beaune Marconnets is very intense and powerful. The fragrance shows intense aromas of ripe red berries, with a fine hint of vanilla. On the palate it is very dense and complex, the fine tannins are almost completely hidden by the extract, the finish is long and spicy.
