Antinori is probably the most famous wine family in Italy. Viticulture has been practiced in Tuscany for 26 generations, i.e. the year 1385. Later the property was extended to the neighboring area of Umbria and to Franciacorta, so today nine wineries in Italy belong to the Antinori group: Antinori nel Chianti Classico, Badia a Passignano, Tenute Tignanello, Peppoli, Villa Antinori, Pian delle Vigne (Brunello), Guado al Tasso (Bolgheri), Castello dele Sala (Orvieto) and the Tenuta Montenisa in Franciacorta for sparkling wines. There are also 6 more wineries worldwide, in Hungary, Malta, Romania, Chile and the USA. All of this takes place at an astonishingly high level of quality, only the best quality deserves to bear the name of the Antinori family on the label.
