In 1928 the first red Villa Antinori was created as a storable red wine of high quality. At that time the Villa Antinori was a Chianti Classico, over the decades it has become a Toscana rosso thanks to new grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. It has won many friends all around the world because of its balance between classic and modern.
2020 was a warm vintage in Italy that produced surprisingly fresh wines. The harvest took place very early, under ideal weather conditions. The healthy grapes of the wine can be recognized by the dense ruby red color. The scent includes ripe dark berries such as cassis and blueberry, toasted notes and herbs, as well as a little vanilla. The taste is full, the tannins are soft but structured in the background, the finish is long and well balanced.
