In 1998 the Antinori family invested in a winery north of Lecce in Puglia. The Tenuta Tormaresca has quickly established itself as one of the top wines from this region. The Fichimori is made from the Negroamaro grape variety, enriched with a little Syrah. The grapes for this wine grow at the Masseria Maìme estate in S. Pietro Vernotico. He is declared as Rosso Salento IGT. You can also enjoy this fruity southern Italian slightly chilled in summer, as its tannins are very soft and do not come to the fore even at low temperatures.
This charming Antinori red goes well with many dishes, try it with meat dishes, BBQ, pizza, pasta and antipasti. He actually always does a "bella figura".
