Mas des Tannes is the organic wine series by Paul Mas. The wines grow in Montagnac in the Languedoc, where once was the sheep farm of the monastery Valmagne. Jean-Claude Mas bought these vineyards in 2006, which the previous owner had already cultivated biodynamically. So it was natural to continue this cultivation and to expand the Paul Mas range with organic wines. The white Mas de Tannes Classic consists of Chardonnay and Grenache Blanc, 60% was aged for four months in oak barrels, what adds a delicate oak note, which underlines the exotic fruit notes. In taste, the Mas de Tannes Blanc is powerful yet fresh and drinkable, intense and long-lasting in the finale. A very nice wine for a fair price.
