The Picpoul de Pinet is a classic white wine from the French Mediterranean coast. It grows not far from the Etang de Thau, a stronghold of oyster and mussel farming. The Picpoul vine retains a certain freshness even in warm growing zones, which is why it is valued as an ideal accompaniment to fish, seafood and Mediterranean vegetable cuisine. It is bottled in an idiosyncratic Schlegel bottle called Neptun, which is probably intended to encourage the wine to be served with seafood dishes. You can also recommend that without reservation, a classic!
Les Vignobles Foncalieu is located west of the spectacular walled city of Carcassonne. It is organized as a cooperative to which 650 winegrowing families belong.
The Picpoul de Pinet Cuvée Prestige from Foncalieu has a beautiful color with golden and green nuances. Delicious fruity notes reminiscent of citrus fruits on the nose, the taste is fresh, lively, but still with a round aftertaste. Very nice!
