The two top wines are labeled with the number 890, after the year of foundation in 1890, and 904, as a reminder of the year 1904, when La Rioja Alta and Bodegas Ardanza merged.
Today, the winery owns over 400 hectares of vineyards, mainly planted with Tempranillo and sells the wines all over the world. Despite the size of the winery, the top wines are available only very limited, which underlines the appreciation for these Rioja classics.
