The Hermann Dönnhoff Winery is one of the three top wineries on the Nahe and a driving force in winemaking in Germany. The Dönnhoffs are tops in every wine category. The basis is the skills of the current manager Cornelius Dönnhoff and father Helmut, as well as the top locations in various communities in the Nahe, which are mostly blessed with very old vines, which ensure the complex depth in the wines.
80% of the vines are Riesling, 20% are the Burgundy varieties Grauburgunder, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay. Only white wines or sparkling wine are produced.
The winery is named after Hermann Dönnhoff, who bottled and marketed his top wines from the best locations himself in the 1920s and received the State Honorary Award for his life's work in 1953.
The Dönnhoff winery has been showered with the highest praise and euphoric reviews internationally. The magical 100/100 from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate and James Suckling have also been awarded to Dönnhoff wines several times. At Wein-Plus.eu the winery was awarded the title: "Collection of the Year - Nahe 2018 & 2021".
