Gianni Pignatti's vineyards are located in three different vineyards in Montalcino. This allows you to cushion the fluctuations of the vintages and always produce a first-class and in style comparable Rosso or Brunello the Montalcino. The production volume at Pietroso is small, only 5 hectares are planted here with Sangiovese Grosso, apart from tiny amounts of other regional varieties. The aging process is emphatically traditional, the wines are stored in large wooden barrels made from Slavonian oak and put on the market when they have reached the first drinking phase. Stylistically, Pietroso is a long-lasting classic with grip, complexity and structure. A style that established the tremendous reputation of Brunello.
