The Chablis Grand Cru site Les Preuses is eleven hectares in size. The wines from this cru are considered powerful, intense and long-lasting.
Julien Brocard only makes this Grand Cru Chablis, which he himself credits with exceptional aging potential. Les Preuses from 7 Lieux has a marked minerality, it is present and rich, but also refined, elegant and subtle. Aromatically it is reminiscent of candied oranges, strawberries, ripe yellow fruits and acacia. This wine is grown biodynamically, 3/4 of it is aged in concrete eggs and a quarter in barriques.
Andy Howard (Master of Wine) praises Julien Brocard in Decanter magazine as a TOP QUALITY PRODUCER and describes the 2021 Les Preuses as "magnificant". The combination of ripe fruit with a cool aroma and grip inspires him so much that he awards 95/100 points. 15-20 years of storage should be possible.
