Eisacktaler Kellerei, Südtirol
The Eisacktal starts north of Brixen and ends just before Bozen, so it is located in the northern and cooler part of the South Tyrolean wine region. Therefore, the focus here is on white grapes, which develop a great clarity and a "cool" aroma in this climate with warm days and cool nights. In the north of the Eisack Valley you will find the grapes also grown in Germany, such as Sylvaner, Kerner, Riesling or Müller-Thurgau, but the "French" have also secured a permanent place, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc deliver wonderful wines in the southern part of the valley . The Eisacktal winery today has around 130 members who are particularly committed to quality, this is why it is one of the best wineries in the region.
