The Grüner Veltliner for the Kalmuck Federspiel from the Mauritiushof Gritsch grows on primary rock soils in terraced Wachau vineyards between the communities of Spitz and Loiben. A Veltliner as it should be, the typical lively white wine style of the Wachau, fresh, aromatic, expressive and with plenty of mineral finesse. Combines healthy grape ripeness with the juicy fullness of the very good 2022 vintage. Pure drinking pleasure, a perfect accompaniment to light fish dishes or a snack.
Taster Peter Moser from Falstaff magazine rates the 2022 Kalmuck Grüner Veltliner Federspiel with an impressive 91/100 points and writes: "Medium green-yellow, silver reflections. A little of passion fruit and candied orange peel, delicate of blossom honey, a hint of passion fruit. Juicy, elegant, mineral, powerful, fine fruit sweetness of mango and pineapple, salty, fine food accompaniment."
