The Cabernet de Saumur Rosé is only made from grapes from our own vineyards in the Langlois-Chateau domain. Competent winemaking has been the standard here for decades, but since the Bollinger champagne house got involved, the quality has made another leap forward.
The grapes for this delicious and very finesse rosé wine come from calcareous soils in Saumur, one of the cool climate strongholds for Cabernet Franc. It gives the wine a mineral finesse and an invigorating freshness, of course this is also influenced by the relatively cool climate on the Loire. The whole thing creates tension and aromatic clarity, with lots of freshness and the best balance. A great wine in the style of a modern rosé, i.e. with a delicate colour.
This rosé is the perfect summer wine, dry and fruity, it enriches every barbecue party and accompanies summery salad dishes, fish, mussels or even a plate of pasta. It is an excellent terrace wine with class anyway.
