The AOP Saumur-Champigny is located south-west of the town of Saumur, halfway between Tours and Angers on the picturesque Loire valley. The AOP is only valid for red wines, which are usually 100% Cabernet Franc.
The Samumur-Champigny of the Domaine Langlois-Chateau is still a little more concentrated than the Saumur rouge, with a similar fruity direction. The Cabernet Franc grows on sandy lime soils and produces round red wines with soft tannins.
