Markus Altenburger describes this Cuvée as a Burgenland mongrel from grandfather's times, but the vinification is innovative and modern: Grüner Veltliner fermented in the concrete egg with the must and refined in the wooden barrels, Traminer, Welschriesling and Neuburger were fermented with the must and then aged with the yeasts in 500L barrels.
The healthy grape harvest of the 2015 vintage is thus transformed into a rich and grippy orange-white wine , with a cloudy orange to amber color. Dried fruits and orange peel in the scent, also herbs and nuts. On the palate it is very grippy, relatively light in alcohol, bone dry and aromaticly veryy exciting. The magazine Falstaff awarded the 2015 with 92/100 points .
