The Riesling dry Estate is the liquid calling card of the Witmann Winery. It grows on calcareous soils in Westhofen / Rheinhessen, which gives the wine its cool finesse. It is grown biodynamically, whereby attention is always paid to low yields and the associated high quality. The aging takes place in traditional large wooden barrels, which find an ideal climate in the deep historic cellar directly below the winery.
At Wittmann, great importance is placed on the light-footedness of this wine, the Riesling fruit comes through clearly and coolly in this wine, even in the warm 2022 vintage, freshness and finesse are the focus. Wonderful elegance and subtle fruit with a lot of pull in the long finish. A sensational wine in this price range. You can drink Wittmann's Riesling Estate young, but it also matures excellently for several years.
