Terra Costantino - Sicilia

Terra Costantino is one of the best wineries in Sicily. The vineyards are located at the foot of the Etna volcano in the DOC Etna, which is located entirely on volcanic soils at a relatively high altitude, which mitigates the summer heat of Sicily and allows the wines to have a fresher structure and a slower aroma development than its neighbors.

Terra Costantino relies on traditional cultivation methods and a careful treatment of nature. The wine has been grown organically since 2000, it was the first organic winery on Mount Etna. Mainly local (= autochthonous) grape varieties such as the red Nerello Mascalese and Cappucino, as well as the white grapes Carricante and Catarratto are used. There are also other local varieties.

The range is clearly structured, there is a red, rosé and white wine called deAetna and, as Etna Riserva, a white and red wine from the single vineyard Contrada Blantano strong>. The light red Rasola is a specialty. This cuvée is made from old vines of many local grape varieties, both white and red. It is fermented spontaneously and without any temperature control, just as wine was made in Sicily hundreds of years ago.

Terra Costantino has been praised in practically all well-known wine magazines and online portals worldwide and the best wines have been rated up to 95/100 points.
