The Quinta do Noval Reserva tinto consists of the local grape varieties Touriga Nacional (60%), Touriga Francesa (25%) and 3% Tinto Cão. The remaining 12% is accounted for by a vineyard with a mixed set, i.e. different traditional vines that are mixed up in the plot, which used to be a protection against bad harvests, as the vines sprout and mature at different times.
The Reserva Tinto by Quinta do Noval is decidedly powerful and yet well structured. Despite all southern fullness, it also has a certain delicacy, which Quinta do Noval attaches great importance to and describes as the typical style of the house. Here they use the best grapes from the winery, which of course only come from their own vineyards. A very authentic Douro of the highest quality.
