The Tawny Port from Quinta do Noval matures in wooden barrels for three years. It is a softer version of port wine, appears less sweet and aromatically more complex than the fruitier Ruby Port.
Quinta do Noval Director Carlos Agrellos describes the Fine Tawny as follows: "Intense brick color. It has a more complex nose than the Ruby and shows youthful fruit with a raspberry character. On the palate it is medium sweet with a balanced Fruit and fullness. Drink it slightly chilled as an aperitif or at room temperature with a dessert."
