The Silval is the Price Enjoyment Vintage Port from Quinta do Noval. It doesn't need as much storage time as the Noval Vintage because it has a fruitier character. This wine used to be called Quinta da Silval, when the grapes only came from there, but now it's just called Silval because the grapes, after checking their stylistic suitability, come from different wineries and locations.< /p>
The grape varieties of the Silval Vintage Port are the common port wine vines of the Douro Valley: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinto Cão, Sousão and Tinta Roriz. It can be considered as a second wine of the Noval Vintage. Of course, the Silval Vintage Port can also be stored in the bottle for many years or even decades.
