LES CASSAGNES is a vineyard with old vines located in the AOC Côtes-du-Rhônde, in the village of Sérignan-du-Comtat, north of the city of Orange on the southern Rhône. The plot belongs to the Domaine de la Renjarde, which has handed over management to the passionate team at Chateau la Nerthe. The wine is made with the same dedication and skill of Château la Nerthe, which is why it also bears the la Nerthe label.
Cassagnes blanc is a typical white wine from the southern Rhône. Body, volume and intensity determine the character, as well as a fine spice and delicate floral note that comes from the 20% Viognier vine. The bouquet of Les Cassagnes blanc by la Nerthe is reminiscent of pears, peaches, citrus fruits and a hint of chamomile. The almost creamy juiciness is impressive on the palate, the wine has excellent extract and a great length with the best balance. It keeps up with many white Châteauneuf-du-Pape in terms of quality and costs significantly less.
