The AOP Terrasses du Larzac is one of the best in the Languedoc; it is also referred to as a "Cru du Languedoc". It lies on the southern slopes of the central massif called Causse du Larzac. Here, oenologist Anne-Laure Sicard tends the old vines on her small winery, which produce a mini-yield of around 20 hectoliters per hectare.

45% of Mas Lasta Terrasses du Larzac is made from 80-year-old Grenache Noir vines, 40% from 50-year-old Syrah and 15% from 40-year-old Cinsault. The vines grow on sandstone and slate soils at an altitude of 400 meters, which allows for relative coolness in this warm growing zone and gives the wines the appropriate structure and freshness. Processing is carried out exclusively manually; the berries are completely separated from the stems before they are gently pressed. After fermentation in stainless steel, the wine is aged for around 10 months, 50% of which is in barrels, of which around 10% are new.

The Terrasses du Larzac from Mas Lasta is a full-bodied red wine with silky tannins, its aromas are reminiscent of ripe dark berries, coffee, white pepper and Mediterranean herbs. A complex, intense and at the same time elegant wine. Bravo!
