The Georg Breuer winery is famous for its Riesling. The delicious and very elegant wines made from Burgundy varieties from the Rheingau winery are often overlooked. The Grauer Burgunder grape variety played a particularly important role in the warm 2022 vintage, as it achieved good maturity for Breuer's light style, but the wines still have a mature acidity.

This GB Gris (from Pinot Gris = Grauburgunder, they love French terms at Weingut Breuer) is a very unique wine of this variety, typical Rheingau and just as typically Theresa Breuer. This is a straightforward, non-slip and cooler Burgundy that has nothing of its lush, creamy comrades from southern growing zones. Despite the mature vintage, this wine has only 11.5% alcohol. In addition, only 2.2 g/L residual sugar and a firm acidity.

Anyone who likes Italian Pinot Grigio or Alsatian Pinot Gris will not be happy with this. The friends of the Rheingau Riesling, however, if they are looking for a change.

This white wine grew around the wine town of Rüdesheim in the Rheingau, on stony, loamy soil with layers of quartzite and slate. The expansion takes place in steel tanks to emphasize the living art of this Pinot Gris. The grapes were harvested by hand and the wine was made with the same precision and skill as with all other Breuer wines.
