The Dönnhoff Felsenberg Riesling Grosses Gewächs has a small tower on the label, which actually stands above the Dönnhoff plot. That's why this Riesling GG is also called "Felsenturmchen". The official vineyard name, as noted on the label, is Felsenberg.
The 2020 vintage was warm, but the wines still have a nice freshness, as you can see very impressively here. The well-known elegance of the Felsenberg asserts itself beautifully, the wine is clear and fine and has a nice bite in the finale.
This wine is rated 95/100 by Parker's Wine Advocate. The magazine Falstaff gives it 94/100 and writes: "Peach in the scent and hot mineral tones, slightly balsamic. On the palate, a short soft part is followed by a humorless, solid extract, the acidity is comparatively ripe, but the phenols and the mineral content give Structure and length."
