Chateau Branaire-Ducru, whose origins date back to 1680 when Jean-Baptiste Braneyre bought the estate, has always had great potential for fine wines. In the last few vintages, the consistency that the terroir actually gives has also returned. Many wine critics put the excellent 2019 vintage at the top of all Branaires ever produced, and the Wine Advocate (Parker) even suspects a "best ever" vintage! Its taster William Kelley praises the aromas of sweet raspberries and cassis, as well as cigars and cedar wood. The 2019 Branaire-Ducru is complex and deep, while also being taut and with grandiose concentration. 95/100 jump out!
James Suckling also gives it a 95/100, praising the polished tannins and finesse of the wine.
Vinous.com, however, with its experienced tasters, is not entirely unanimous, Antonio Galloni is also at 95/100, ex-Parker taster Neil Martin at 94/100, but agrees that this is arguably the best Branaire of recent years.
There is no question that the 2019 Chateau Branaire-Ducru is an absolute top Grand Cru Classé, which is actually still really cheap for what is on offer. Your constant value for many years
