The Bollinger Champagne Grande Année Rosé is a cuvée of champagne with the best red wine in the region, the Côte aux Enfants. As usual with Bollinger, Pinot Noir plays the biggest role in this salmon-colored prestige cuvée. Aromas of brioche, ginger and cinnamon, as well as citrus fruits and red currants on the palate characterize this wonderful top champagne.
The rosé of the 2015 vintage consists of 62% Pinot Noir, grown in Verzenay, Aÿ and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and 38% Chardonnay from the communes of Chouilly and Avize. 5% of the Pinot Noir is red wine from the La Côte aux Enfants plot.
Unfortunately, the excellent 2015 vintage has not yet been rated; its predecessor from 2014 received 97/100 from Falstaff Magazine, 96/100 from Wine Spectator and 95/100 from Wine Enthusiast. As always, the Bollinger Grande Année Rosé is one of the very best rosé champagnes ever.
