The Pinot Noir vines of the Domaine Christian Salmon from which Sancerre rouge is made. The grapes are cold macerated for a few days to extract color and tannins from the skins. After the subsequent fermentation, a small part of the harvest is stored in small Burgundian wooden barrels.
The Sancerre rouge 2022 is characterized by ripe fruit, tenderness and elegance, it has a fine Pinot Noir aroma reminiscent of raspberries and blackberries and sour cherries. On the palate it is a typical representative of the region, cool, structured, fresh and lively, the tannins are well integrated. A very nice alternative to Bourgogne.
