In addition to the cool locations in the village of Spitz, the family Gritsch owns a plot in the warmer area of Loiben, in on of the best vineyards in the Wachau, called Loibenberg, which benefits from its southern orientation emphasizes full and juicy wines. Aromas like lemon and tobacco are usually found in the Loibenberg Grüner Veltliner Smaragd.
