The Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages les Cassagnes from Château la Nerthe grows in the Tavel area and is made with the same care and passion as its brothers from Chateauneuf-du-Pape. It contains a rather large portion of Syrah (around 30%), which adds strength and aroma to the Grenache, and some Mourvedre is also used.
2020 is a great vintage for the southern Rhône in a very opulent and fruity style, which this wine shows impressively with its depth and balance at a very high level. An opulent Rhône red wine as it is in the book. Organically grown.
