Saint-Joseph is the emerging AOC in the northern Rhone valley. The fight for the best parcels has long been under way, and the Perrin family has secured the best grapes for the house of Nicolas Perrin.
The 2018 vintage combines the delicacy and finesse of 2016 with the power and body of 2017 in the northern Rhône valley. Warm days and relatively cool nights ensured perfect aromas, clarity and elegant tannins. The Saint-Joseph rouge Maison les Alexandrines by Nicolas Perrin was aged 10 months in used barriques to give it the finishing touch. Lively, wonderfully delicate and deep, a great Syrah from a very good vintage, with years of ageing potential.
