Rasteau is a particularly privileged AOP, because of its sheltered position, the Grenache Noir matures very well, which is why Perrin's Rasteau l'Andèol is 80% of this vine. It is fermented in the same process with mash heating as the Chateau de Beaucastel.
The first-class vintage 2018 shows a wild-spicy fragrance with a yeasty note of spontaneous fermentation and chocolate. Lots of power on the palate, long, the wildness of the nose is also in the taste, enormously powerful and yet fine, very long finish. Great class here!
