The 1er Cru Folatieres in Puligny-Montrachet is considered one of the best of its kind. It is not far from the Grand Crus and consists of clay and limestone soils that make the Chardonnay shine. The vines of the Domaine Berthelemot in Folatieres were planted between 1957 and 1962, so they are of old age, which benefits the quality of the wine.
The 2020 vintage is very elegant in style, the harvest started early, the grapes were healthy and perfectly ripened. The wines show a lot of charm already in their youth, but also have depth and strength, so that they should have a bright future, especially in the league of this great 1er Cru, which you can enjoy for many years, possibly even decades .
