2023 was another warm year that produced first-class qualities in the northern Rhône. High quality ripe grapes that still retained their freshness and all in satisfactory quantities.
Les Alexandrins cuvees its white Crozes-Hermitage from 60% Marsanne and 40% Roussanne grapes. The wine is aged for 6 months, 50% in demi-muids (600L barrels) and 50% in egg-shaped concrete tanks, which on the one hand brings the very delicate wood tone and on the other hand the optimal balance.
The Crozes-Hermitage Blanc from Les Alexandrins combines its creamy fullness with a good bite on the palate, it is juicy and structured. An ideal image of a Crozes-Hermitage.
The 2023 Crozes-Hermitage Blanc has a light and clear green-yellow color. The bouquet shows a hint of wood barrel notes, white fruits and floral notes. On the palate it is noticeably smooth, round and rich in extract, in the long finale a touch of acidity balances the rather opulent wine, so that despite all its fullness it remains very animating and makes you want another sip.
Try this wine with crustaceans, grilled fish, risotto with Mushrooms, poultry or cheese.
