Château Rozier belongs to the Saby family, which owns 9 châteaux on the right bank of the Gironde, also called Rive Droite in Bordeaux. Château Rozier is named after an abbot who wrote textbooks on viticulture. Today there are 28 hectares in yield, with 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon are planted.
The great and voluminous 2020 vintage is characterized by its intensity and structure, the wines are dense and powerful and will have a long life. For the Chateau Rozier, which is characterized by Merlot, this means a little more bite than in the opulent previous year, but stylistically it remains a juicy Saint-Emilion, as one would wish from this origin. It has a particularly intense taste with lots of extract and length in the finish. Ripe dark berries, a noble barrique note and the best tannins characterize this juicy Saint-Emilion. Due to its youthful "Merlot charm" it can be enjoyed young, but in a top vintage like 2020 it can also be stored for at least 15 years. 2016Slider
