The Blaufränkisch from lime is the calling card of the Altenburger winery. This wine is now also made more towards natural wine, low sulfur content and the typical aromas of this wine type are present. A perfect everyday red wine for the natural wine scene, it has character and style, is fresh and crisp. It has a wonderful aroma of red berries, sour cherries and is structured and aromatically cool in the finish. This wine should be lively and light-footed, it also has just 12.0 alcohol, which is not a matter of course in a warm year like 2020.
Falstaff magazine awards 91/100 and writes: "Strong ruby garnet, violet reflections, broader rim lightening. Flowery bouquet of hibiscus, red berries and fresh cherries, mineral touch. Juicy, light-footed, red berries, candied violets and lemons, animating style , salty finish."
