The Austrian flagship variety Grüner Veltliner can also be used to make excellent sweet wines, as the Tschidas prove here. It has notes of exotic fruits with an emphasis on pineapple, with a little honey and baked apples. Lots of pressure and great opulence on the palate, the acidity supports the sweetness, good bgrip, balanced and with a long aftertaste. Goes well with desserts with tropical fruits, crème brûlée and blue cheese.
