The 2017 Beerenauslese of the Sämling 88 (=Scheurebe) grape variety from Angerhof / Tschida is an enormously concentrated sweet wine with structure and pressure, which perfectly balances the brilliant sweetness. The golden yellow color has an orange shimmer, which indicates the proportion of noble rotten grapes. The scent is reminiscent of white flowers, juicy peaches and fresh herbs. On the palate, despite all the opulence, it is surprisingly fresh, wonderfully melty and with an enormous length. Impressive and also a pleasure for future generations.

You can of course drink this excellent sweet wine on its own, but it also offers exciting culinary possibilities. Serve it with a fruit dessert or a fruit cake, apricot or plum dumplings, goose liver (yes, I know... but it still tastes brilliant) and blue cheese.
