The Club Batonnage was founded by Altenburger, Gayer, Kracher, Tschida and Scheiblhofer. This cuvée project has existed since the 2003 vintage and has developed into a true and rare cult wine. Very ripe Blaufränkisch, Cabernet and Merlot grapes provide the substance for this concentrate, the barrique aging ensures the noblesse. The wine magazine Falstaff has already twice received 100/100 in batonnage. Great!
The Falstaff wine magazine awarded 98/100 points for the 2020 vintage. Taster Peter Moser writes about the Club Batonnage 2020 vintage: "Dark ruby garnet, opaque core, violet reflections, subtle lightening of the edges. Fresh red fruit nuances, cranberries, cherries, delicate raspberry touch , floral, tangerines, subtle precious wood. Good complexity, appears surprisingly light-footed, some nougat, integrated, carrying tannins, fresh acidity, red cherries in the aftertaste, will benefit from further bottle aging."
