The Syrah Maison les Alexandrins of the Perrin family grows on terrace plots, whose granite soils give strength and minerality to the wine. On the northern Rhône, home of the Syrah grape, the red wines are often accompanied by a small portion of the white Viognier grape to add flavor and finesse. This tradition was also taken up for this beautiful Syrah. The 2016 vintage is fruity and structured, blackcurrants and pepper can be found. On the palate, it has the coolness of the northern Rhone and is fresh and lively. Due to the cold maceration, it has a fruity character, the ageing takes place in steel tanks and in large wooden barrels.
